Starting to feel like summer

Posted on: May 5, 2012

Shoshanna may have another six or so weeks of school, but it’s really starting to feel like summer around here. It’s not just the weather (which is improving rapidly) but things like field trips to the zoo, playing outside, and dance winding down at the same time that softball is starting up again.

Dance show is the 19th and 20th; tap on Saturday morning and ballet on Sunday afternoon. Both dances are really cute, though I think every parent of a child in her tap class is sick to death of Justin Bieber.

And softball has started again; the Rebels’ first practice of the season was Friday night. By virtue of them being a young team last year, most of the girls are back! Only 4 players aged out of the league and I guess everybody had enough fun last year to come back. Practice really was like a little reunion – it was as if it hadn’t been 8 months since they last played together. They have two new girls, too, who pretty much we welcomed into the fold, and the parents’ conversations in the stands haven’t changed much, either.
