The contrasts of Shoshanna…

Posted on: November 20, 2008

This week really encapsulates the contrasts of Shoshanna…

On Tuesday morning, we were at the Frederick  Law Olmsted school for her kindergarten readiness testing – phase one of finding out if she qualifies for the gifted & talented program.

48 hours later, I was at Aspire meeting with a social worker to give her “social history” in advance of her evaluations for physical therapy, back to discussing things like early intervention, diagnoses, etc.

Yup, that’s our life.  G&T one day, PT the next.

Old joke (appropriate). Parent takes kid to one of these interviews: kid clams up. No matter what interviewer asks, no matter what parent says. So interviewer stands up to leave the room. Parent grabs child and shouts, “Say some words!” Kid responds, “Purely irrelevant words?”~~~~~ No danger of this with your Shoshana.
