The Continuing Adventures of SuperPreemie

Halloween

Posted on: November 3, 2008

As always, Evil Auntie Eilis (my SCA costuming mentor) made Shoshanna’s halloween costume.  Over the summer Shoshanna declared that she wanted to be a tiger, and actually never wavered in that request.  So you can imagine how thrilled she was when a box arrived from Connecticut on Tuesday (and how hard it was for me to keep from opening it before she got home from school!).

And so… pictures!
RARRRRR!
Here’s the whole thing… the mask and headpiece are separate and, just for the weird-factor, those are real cat whiskers (did we mention that Evil Auntie Eilis is a crazy cat lady to boot?)
Rarrrr!
And here it is without the mask – still a scary tiger!
Mid-Party
It wouldn’t be a party if she didn’t ask to have a book read to her in the middle of it!

(For those who are curious, you can see Eilis’ historical costuming here and her SciFi/Fantasy stuff here.)
