First dentist’s visit and crankiness explained

Posted on: February 24, 2006

Shoshanna had her first dentist’s visit today. Needless to say, she wasn’t a huge fan of the whole process! They cleaned her teeth and looked in her mouth, and she screamed and fought them the whole way. But they said that her mouth looks lovely and were impressed that she doesn’t drink juice (we’ve offered… she just doesn’t like it!).

I was also finally able to get a good look at her mouth while they were brushing her teeth. We’re less than a week away from finally having a front tooth! The right-hand central incisor is at the stage where it’s just about through the last bit of skin – no wonder she’s been so grumpy! I suspected that she was teething, but she won’t let us get near her mouth to feel or look, so I wasn’t sure. The other central incisor isn’t far behind, and she’s working on another bottom tooth, too. Poor little head.
