Two weeks’ travel…

Posted by: Sarah on: August 10, 2009

We’ve been all over the place for the last two weeks.  First we were in Maine with the Tenney family plus our friends Sam, Keet, and Maya for a week.  We had a lot of fun – the girls played together very well 90% of the time.

Shoshanna said that her favorite thing was playing in [...]

My kid is a TOTAL ROCKSTAR

Posted by: Sarah on: August 2, 2009

Allow me to tell you the story that led to this picture.  We left Quisisana a bit before 9 Saturday morning.  The plan was that Dad would drop Mom, Shoshanna, and me at Logan and then take the rental car back to Government Center.  We had plenty of time to accomplish this.  I was going [...]

Miss Shoshanna meets Mister Lincoln

Posted by: Sarah on: June 4, 2009

We bopped down to Maryland for 36 hours or so last weekend…  like you do.  Grandma and Opa had secured tickets to the Children’s Concert at the Kennedy Center  and we had promised Shoshanna that while we were downtown we could go to the Lincoln Memorial, which she had been begging to do ever since [...]

We were all sitting around the living room and she was saying “Hi” to each new person who walked into the room. She doesn’t say “mama” or “dada” [...]

Thanksgiving Highlights

Posted by: Sarah on: November 29, 2005

Bits of Shoshanna’s first “real” Thanksgiving, in list form.

Best Toy: A tie between Grandma and Opa’s DVD/CD shelves (great for emptying of their contents) and the tape deck (so many buttons to poke at!)
Best Food: probably mashed sweet potatoes. Shoshanna ate a full Thanksgiving dinner, including turkey, stuffing, minted peas (which she also loved), [...]

The paranoias of the 21st century parent…

Posted by: Sarah on: June 2, 2005

Ack! Shoshanna’s upstairs napping and I have NO BABY MONITOR TO LISTEN TO!!!
Why is there no baby monitor, you ask? The answer is simple:
It’s in a suitcase in the trunk of my car.
You see, this evening, Shoshanna is going on her first plane ride! We’re flying down to Maryland for the weekend [...]
