Shoshanna’s friend Jordan was out of town the weekend of the party, so we adults promised the two girls they would get to do something special just the two of them sometime, which hadn’t happened in quite a while.  (Last year, when they were both home on Wednesdays, they had semi-regular playdates.)  Shoshanna declared pretty quickly that she wanted Jordan to come over for dinner to eat “Chinese chicken” (aka, our version of General Tso’s chicken).  The big “date” was last Friday night.  The girls entertained themselves quite well while I cooked, playing duets on the new keyboard.

Then they devoured their dinner because there was the promise of cake at the end.

And then they made two posters – one for our house, and one for Jordan’s.

They are already angling for a sleepover, but I don’t know if ANY of us (kids OR parents) are ready to deal with that.
